Looking to the Future, Towards the World | Cheng Han won the first prize in the South Korean Model United Nations Debate Contest!

In the past winter vacation, on the occasion of celebrating the Spring Festival of the Year of Pigs, two students, Kuang Zixuan and Guo Jiafuyu, from the high school of Chenghan International Campus, went to Korea to participate in the United Nations Moot Debate Contest. They successfully defeated more than 100 contestants, reached the final with the first team, and finally won the first place in the 2019 South Korean Model United Nations Debate Contest.

With an international perspective and thinking, contacting and studying the history and culture of many countries, Chenghan students absorbed vast amounts of new knowledge, constantly broadening their horizons and enriching themselves. Narrate the position of the country with one's own voice, display youth's strength with one's own ability, strategize among others, and show endless wisdom and strategy.

For the first time, it was a fruitful experience to "fight with each other" with international excellent brothers and sisters. Thinking back, I still feel nervous and slightly excited, after all, from zero to harvest, an unforgettable experience. However, what is more impressive is the recitation of "day and night" before the competition. This MUN is an activity of coexistence of knowledge and courage. In this difficult process, I broke through myself, increased knowledge, broadened my horizons and benefited a lot.

The preparation time of the MUN is very short. Before participating in the federation, I was filled with great curiosity and interest. Without effort, there will be no harvest, only real devotion to it can truly feel its charm. In the competition, I gained a lot, including the ability of writing, expressing and communicating. I also learned a lot of international academic knowledge. At the same time, I realized that I still had many shortcomings.

Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivating Chinese heart, with global vision ", Chenghan students show their talents on the stage of MUN, and at the same time, they are also improving themselves and actively expanding their international horizons. In the future, more outstanding students will step onto the world stage to show Chenghan's unique spirit and style.
